At Clear Ballistics, we use only top-quality materials, and unlike the other guys, there's no mixing, curing, or calibrating required. It turns out that not only is the quality superior but the cost savings are immense. But don't take our word for it, we ran a set of independent cost comparison tests and the results are showcased below.

Here are some of the assumptions made before the test begins. We understand that in some cases, equipment might be owned and costs will vary, hence why the cost is listed by each piece of equipment. Time spent waiting on the ballistic testing medium to be ready to use is also calculated in the test when listed.
Cure-time is calculated hourly to the nearest whole hour at current US Federal minimum wage rate of $7.25 as of 2013.
We assume all equipment must be purchased to make each each testing medium except major appliance costs were not calculated because most consumers would own one already.
All dollar amounts have been rounded to nearest whole dollar.
All prices for equipment were found via amazon and the lowest price possible is used.
All prices for ordnance gelatin, aka ballistics gelatin, were taken from a major gelatin manufacturer, and where possible we used their 20 lb Standard 3 block kit
All cure-time for each product is included in the overall cost of the use for each product on the test of three blocks where noted.
Cure-time for ordnance gelatin can be reduced if refrigerated storage is increased.
