Our NATO Ballistic Gelatin Block meets NATO standards for terminal ballistic testing in 20% ballistic gelatin. The NATO Ballistic Gelatin Block is perfect for terminal ballistics testing for all handguns and rifles. The NATO Block meets the NATO ballistics testing protocol. This NATO block is the same block size (16L x 6wx 6H) which law enforcement agencies and government agencies use for terminal ballistics testing. This synthetic ballistic gelatin in the NATO formulation stops your projectile in a short distance then our FBI edition of 10% ballistic gelatin blocks with accurate ballistic data.
Our NATO Ballistic Gelatin matches 20% ballistic gelatin standers. This formula of our synthetic ballistic gelatin is 100% clear, reusable, and requires no refrigeration! Our entire line of NATO synthetic ballistic gelatin follows the same protocol for traditional 10% ballistic gelatin. To pass this protocol a BB must meet the following criteria, which is by shooting a BB at 590 feet per second +/- 10 feet, 10 feet away into a block of gelatin, and the resting position of the BB is 4.2 cm 4.6 cm (4.4 ± 0.2 cm).

What makes our product less than perfect? When we say less than perfect, we are only speaking visually and not physically. Clear Ballistics manufactures excellent products, and even the best makes mistakes. What we mean in nonprofessionals terms œpossibly has amber tones. Amber tones are created when the product is heated too hot, too hot too fast, or cooked too long. The color is very light, in the amber or dark yellow family. The product is still 100% clear but slightly colored. What we mean in nonprofessionals terms œpossibly has small debris or fragments less than 1 millimeter. During manufacturing pieces of foreign matter gets into the gelatin during cooking, pieces of burn gelatin, or any other small debris in the gelatin. The ballistic gelatin is still 100% calibrated to meet the FBI standards for testing human tissues.

Clear Ballistics’s ballistic gelatin is a modern day ballistic gelatin, is 100% synthetic, and contains no organic materials. It has taken the place of conventional ballistic gelatin, which is 100% organic, and completely temperature unstable. It is 100% clear as glass, odorless, reusable, temperatures stable (temperatures up to 240F), and mimics human tissue 100%. It is non-toxic. Our ballistic gelatin is mold able into any shape. Our ballistic gelatin does not mold or rot. Our ballistic gelatin does not require special storage. Our entire ballistic gelatin process is batch controlled. Clear Ballistics does calibration on the gelatin with each batch, and we following the FBI protocol for ballistics testing developed for ballistic testing of human tissue.
